Pgnview
Introduction
Pgnview is a program for viewing PGN (Portable Game Notation) format
chess games. There are 2 versions:
- The older C++ version written for the Psion Series 5mx handheld computer,
which only allows you to read and play through existing pgn files.
- The newer java version which allows you to create/edit as well as view,
and should be portable to other devices.
The newer java version
Although I have called it 0.8, this is the first Java version I have
released, and I need people to try it out, and to see if the
installation directions (in the README file) are ok.
If you find it useful or are interested in helping develop it
further please let me know.

Jpgnview 0.8With instructions for Linux
The older C++ version
Version 0.1 was written for the Psion Series 5mx handheld computer.
I have tried with version 0.2
to make it detect a smaller screen size so it will work on the Revo.
These intial versions are lacking certain obvious functions.
For instance at the moment it doesn't play through side variations
or show you the annotations. It doesn't yet let you enter your own
games. It was written in C++, but I have abandonned work
on this version for a completely new java version which will contain
the above functions.
If you find it useful or are interested in helping develop it
further please let me know.
